Biography

Physician Jasmine Xie graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in 2012 with a double degree in Biomedical Science and Traditional Chinese Medicine (Second Class Honours, Upper Division).

Upon graduation, she sees the potential of effective TCM treatment in functional disorders and she is driven to refine her acupuncture skills and technique especially in treatment areas for gastrointestinal disorder and women’s health. Hence, she accepts the scholarship awarded by Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) to embark on 3 years full-time Master degree program in CDUTCM to pursue Masters in Acupuncture, Tuina and Moxibustion.

Learning under experienced and skilled mentor, Deputy Chief Physician Zhao ZhengYu, in Chengdu University of TCM has heightened her insights in TCM diagnostic and treatment, emphasizing the importance of good energy circulation among the organs and respective meridians. She strongly believes in natural holistic treatment approach through acupuncture and herbal medicine to achieve a harmonious relationship and balance state in the body.

Gastrointestinal Disorders

Her outstanding and delicate acupuncture technique are highly sought after by many of her patients. For individual to feel physically, mentally, and emotionally well, she upholds these clinical treatment values taught by her principal mentor:

  • To achieve a harmonized relationship among organs
  • To ensure smooth energy flow in the meridians
  • Loosen tensed muscles and tendons and optimize proper skeletal alignment

She has helped numerous patients with gastrointestinal function disorders who are highly stressed at work or in school and struggle to lead a healthy lifestyle. These patients often present with clinical symptoms such as bloating, nausea, belching, heartburn sensation, accompanied with irregular bowel movement.

In managing and treating gastrointestinal functional disorders such as chronic gastritis, GERD, IBS, she would focus working on gastric motility, gastric emptying, to slow down rapid colon movement through using acupuncture to channel defying Qi movement to its rightful and proper location, and to clear stagnated energy in affected meridians to achieve the treatment outcome as mentioned above.

Paediatrics Tuina

As a mother, she is a strong advocate for Paediatrics Tuina to improve their immunity and promote growth development while enjoying the bond with her boys. She has witnessed the effectiveness of this green and organic treatment approach in alleviating mild discomforts and prevention of diseases in young children.

Women’s Health

A healthy and regular menstrual cycle is important to a woman’s overall health and well-being. Understanding how the biology clock of a woman’s reproductive organ works, she is proficient to restore irregular menses cycle faced by many young women through consistent acupuncture and herbal medicine treatments.
